Dua and Method of Namaz e Istikhara

For which works istikhara is suitable:

For the work which is ordered in Sharia, "Istikhara" is not done. Istikhara is also prohibited. Istikhara is only permissible in matters such as whether or not to accept the relationship of your child with such and such a person, whether or not to enter into a business partnership with a person, you receive a job offer from more than one place, you are in doubt. They decide who to accept and who to reject, etc. It is better to practice it after doing Istikhara, yes! If he does not act for any reason, he will not be guilty.

Times of Istikhara:

The time of Istikhara is until the time that the opinion on one side has not been fully formed. It is also necessary that the full intention of this work is not done, just an idea, such as a business, marriage, building a house, etc. If he has a minor intention and hesitates because he does not know if there will be any good in it or not, then he should do Istikhara. It is better to do istikhara seven times as it is in a hadith: "O Anas! When you intend to do something, ask your Lord for it seven times, and then look at what happened in your heart, and surely there is good in it.

Masnoon method of Dua Istikhara:

The intention should be that I have this issue or problem in front of me, which way is best for me, may Allah Almighty decide it.It is narrated from some Mashaikhs, may God have mercy on him, that after reciting the above-mentioned dua, face the Qibla and sleep while crying. Hazrat Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan, peace be upon him, has also explained this problem in detail: Some Sufis say that if one prays two rakats while sleeping and recites this dua after performing ablution, then if one sees a green or white light in a dream. If you see water or light, it is a sign of success, and if you see black or muddy water or darkness, it is a sign of failure and unwillingness.

At any time of the day or night, as long as it is not an abominable time for paying Nafl, recite Rakat Nafl with the intention of Istikhara. After the salam, pray the Masnoon Dua of Istikhara, which the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) has advised.

Masnoon Dua of Istikhara:

'' aalllhuma ainiy 'astakhiyruk bieilmik , w 'astaqdiruk biqudratika, w 'as'aluk min fadlik aleaziym , fainak taqdir w la 'aqdiru, w taelam wala 'aelam , w 'ant ealaam alghuyub aalllhuma ain kunt taelam 'ana hdha al'amr khayr liy fiy diyniy w maeashiy w eaqibat 'amriy w eajilihٖ w ajilihٖ , faqdirh liy , w yasirh liy , thuma barik liy fiyh w ain kunt taelam 'ana hdha al'amr shar liy fiy diyniy wamaeashiy w eaqibat 'amriy w eajilihٖ w ajilihٖ , fasrifh eaniy wasrifniy eanh , waqdir liy alkhayr hayth kan thuma aardiniy bihٖ .''

''O God, I seek Your guidance through Your knowledge, and I seek Your authority through Your ability, and I ask You of Your great grace, for You are able and I cannot, and You do not know, and You are the Knower of the Unseen. Oh God, if You know that this matter is better for me in my religion My livelihood and the outcome of my affairs and my immediate affairs. And honor it, ordain it for me, and make it easy for me, and then bless me in it, even if you know that this matter is evil for me in this world My life and my livelihood and the outcome of my affairs, both now and later, so turn it away from me and turn me away from it, and ordain for me what is good wherever it is Then please me with it.”

There is no special time for Istikhara, but it is better to do Istikhara before going to bed at night when there is a calm atmosphere and go to sleep. , but if dreams do not come, then conclude with heart inclination and satisfaction.

Which surahs should we recite in the Istikhara prayer?

It is advisable to recite the last prayer of this supplication and Durood Sharif in the first rak'ah. There are also some mushaikh firms that in the first place the Lord created us Yasha' and we Yakhtar and Ma Kan Lahum Al-Khirr. Subhun Allah Watta'Allah Yamma Yash-Riku-n-War-Bukka Wa-A'lmu Ma Tuknun Suddu'r-Uhum Vama'in Uw-Aw'am Believers and believers in Allah and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) As Allah and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)

Short Duas of Istikhara

The famous Hadith, Allama Mulla Ali, Qari, may God have mercy on him, writes in Mirqat al-Mafatih: If he is in a hurry to do something, he should just say: O Allah May Allah make my work better for me By choosing (the better of the two deeds) and making it better for me, he should say: O Allah, make my work better and choose (the better of the two deeds) for me. do and do not leave me to my choice). There are many other ways and duties of Istikhara transmitted from the elders of the religion, may Allah have mercy on them, for example, Istikhara through Tasbeeh, which is completed in a short time.

Essential Masail for Istekhara :

(1)…Istikhara can be done only about those activities which are left to the opinion of each Muslim, for example, whether to choose between trade or employment? Will buying a house be useful or not? Where to get married?

(2)... It is also a condition for Istikhara that the work is permissible, the works about which the Shariah has stated clear rules that must be performed are not Istikhara. Such as performing the five obligatory prayers, Zakat. Paying, similarly doing things that are prohibited by the Shari'ah is not istikhara like telling lies, doing business of opening liquor, gambling dens etc. In Hajj and Jihad and other good works, Istikharah cannot be done for self-deeds, but it can be done for a fixed time.

(3)...One of the etiquettes of Istikhara is that Istikhara should be done in relation to a work that one's nature is not inclined to do, because if one side has developed desire, then with the help of Istikhara, the right situation will be established. It will be very difficult to be clear.

(4)... The answer to Istikhara is doubtful. It is not certain. It is better to act on what is indicated in Istikhara, but it is also permissible to act against it. After performing Istikhara, it does not become Fard or Wajib. The violator is not a sinner and there is no harm in doing so. If there is a worldly benefit in doing Istikhara against Istikhara, then there is no harm in doing it.
