Fasting is one of the 5 pillars of Islam, which is called Sawm in Arabic. Muslims fast during the holy month of Ramadan in the Islamic year. During the fast, Muslims abstain from eating, drinking, and having intercourse with their wives from dawn to sunset. In order to fast, one eats food before dawn, which is called Suhri, after which the Fajr prayer is offered, while at sunset, the fast is broken by eating and drinking something with the Maghrib call to prayer, which is called breaking the fast.

In acts of worship like prayer, fasting, zakat, Hajj, etc., the intention is obligatory, but the words are not obligatory. However, today's minds are scattered, so firstly speaking with the tongue will reveal the intention of the heart, secondly every word spoken by the tongue will be written in good deeds.
